Nonverbal communication signs or gestures such as facial expressions, tone of voice, eye contact, body language, postures, and other ways people can communicate without language.

  • Observe how your emotions feel physically. Throughout the day, as you experience a variety of emotions like excited, bored, happy, or frustrated, try to identify where you think that emotion is within your body.
  • Maintain comfortable eye contact.
  • Try to display yourself with positive body language when you feel alert, open about your surroundings.
  • If you find specific facial expressions or body language helpful to a particular setting, use it as a guide when improving your nonverbal communications.


Writing skills are an essential part of communication. Excellent writing skills allow you to communicate your message with accuracy and ease to a far larger audience than face-to-face or telephone conversations. Written communication is the most prominent and the most effective of any mode of business communication.

It is commonly used to share information through books, pamphlets, blogs, letters, and more emails and chats are a common form of writing communication in the workplace.

  • Clarity, Written communications should be as transparent and straightforward as possible. It is helpful to include lots of detail in instructional communications. 
  • Connection with the audience, Because you do not have the nuance of verbal and nonverbal communications, be careful when trying to communicate a specific tone when writing. Analyze your writing as simple and plain as possible and follow up with verbal communication to add more personality.
  • Correctness, Take time to review your written communications. Setting time aside to re-read your emails or letters can help you identify mistakes or opportunities to say something different.


Visual communication skills refer to individuals, body gestures, facial expressions, and eye contact. Visual communication also helps in conveying a message, and It used to include gatherings and trade shows, social media posts, websites office presentations and meetings, and so much more, that’s why the description of content marketing success includes visual communication.

  • Getting a third-party viewpoint can help you decide whether the visual adds value to your communications.
